 Sunday Service Schedule
    Traditional Service - 8:45am

    Contemporary Service - 11:15am

Traditional Service
Our 8:45 service is a traditional worship service. We follow the traditional Lutheran liturgy with a modern flair, using liturgical settings and hymns from the Evangelical Lutheran Book of Worship.

Contemporary Service
Our 11:15 service offers Lutheran worship in contemporary language, with piano, guitars, and modern day Christian songs.

Children
Children and infants are welcome in our worship services, as Jesus said:

Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.

A special Children’s Moment is offered as part of both worship services each Sunday. A nursery is also provided during both services.

People with Special Needs
An audio loop for the hard-of-hearing and large print hymnals for the visually impaired are also available. Simply speak to an usher for assistance.

Holy Communion
We celebrate the Eucharist, the Sacrament of Holy Communion, during both worship services every week.

All baptized Christians are invited to come forward and receive the Sacrament. Young children and those who do not wish to partake of the bread and wine are invited to come forward to receive a blessing.

Wine is offered from the chalice and from individual cups. White grape juice is also offered for those who, for medical purposes, desire it.

Volunteers also regularly bring the Eucharist to the homebound and those who are unable to come to worship services.

Adult and Children's Choir
We have many opportunities for musicians and singers to help lead our worship. Please use your musical talents and gifts in the services of God’s house! Musicians are welcome to join our Contemporary Music Band to play at our 11:15 am Sunday worship service. If you are interested, contact us at office@atonementrochester.org

Adult Choir
The choir sings at specifically chosen services throughout the year.

Children’s Choirs
Children meet and rehearse as part of the Sunday School program and sing occasionally throughout the year.

Organ
Parson's Pipe Organ with 27 ranks was designed, built, and installed at Atonement in 1989. It was the first instrument Parsons installed in the Rochester area and has been used for informational purposes as well as display for other churches searching for a pipe organ.

Digital Piano
This piano, with electronic capabilities and computer integration, was purchased specifically for use during contemporary worship. It allows for uses of MIDI files as well as other innovations.

Choir Chimes
Through the generosity of the Condemi Fund for Music Atonement has acquired a new 2 octave set of Malmark Choirchimes.  Manufactured in Plumstead Pennsylvania, the 25 aluminum chimes allow a group of up to 8 people to experience the joys of making music regardless of their musical training.
We are grateful to the Condemi Music fund for providing the financial capital to acquire these instruments. Interested adults and youth in 4th grade or older should sign up to create this new choir. With enough interest we might even have two choirs!  Contact Joshua Brown (262 994 0470 or jhbrown@atonementrochester.org) if you want to get involved with this new musical opportunity at Atonement.
