Our Beliefs and Values
Our Mission

- Invite all people into the presence of the living God
- Prepare for ministry in daily life
- Go Into the World as disciples.
|
Church Affiliation: Atonement Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Upstate New York Synod (UNYS) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Welcome Welcome to Atonement! We are a community of God's people working to live out our faith in daily life as we continue to follow our calling to Do Justice, Love Kindness, and Walk Humbly With God (Micah 6:8). We welcome and include LGBTQIA+ members, neuro-divergent individuals, and all ethnicities as our siblings in Christ in all aspects of life in the church. We embrace all who have been excluded because of their race, economic status, or abilities. There is a place for you here. |
Vision Statement
Called to be witnesses to the Good News of Jesus Christ, we will be:
~A warm, welcoming community of faith: grounded in word and worship, discipleship, and
service to Christ.
~A church with open hearts, minds, and ministry: called to practice a spirit of grace, acceptance,
and generosity to all children of God.
~A community of faith called to make a difference: in the world around us and in the lives of the
families, children, youth, and adults within our congregation.
~God's people gathered to be a wellspring of hope: for growth in faith and life in this place and
wherever we are called to serve.
