Red, White, and Blue Food Collection Through July
We will be collecting items to stock the Pittsford Food Cupboard with some pantry staples through the month of July. In celebration of Independence Day, we invite you to consider red, white, and blue food items and/or food packaging. Suggested items are: beans, tuna, cereal, peanut butter, pasta sauce, and blueberry muffin mix. A table is set up in the Narthex to collect your donations. July Office Closure Please note that the church office will be CLOSED from Thursday, July 23rd through Friday, July 31st. Note: Pastor Doug WILL be in for his office hours on Wednesday, July 29th. Pastoral Candidate Meet & Greet 2:00-4:00p.m. in Reissig Hall All Atonement congregational members are invited to come and meet informally with our Pastoral Candidate and get to know each other a little bit before the vote on Sunday, July 26th. If you need a ride to either the Meet & Greet or to the service on Sunday morning for the vote, please notify the office and a ride will be provided. Ninth Sunday After Pentecost VOTE for our Pastoral Candidate Sunday, July 26th at 9:30 a.m. Please join us in person or via our Facebook page. We welcome our new Pastoral Candidate this week. They will be presiding over the worship. Immediately following the service, there will be a question & answer session with the congregation and candidate for up to 30 minutes. The candidate will then recuse themselves from the church and the congregation will immediately vote on the candidate where a 2/3 majority of a quorum must be met to make a candidate our new pastor. You must be baptized, confirmed, included on the Roster of this congregation, and be physically present at the meeting to vote. Once the vote has been tabulated, you are invited to Reissig Hall for refreshments and fellowship while a representative of the Synod and our Board of Ministries president, Joanne Scanlon, meet with the candidate. If a Call has been extended to them, the Candidate then determines whether they will accept the call. After this meeting, we will join you in Reissig Hall to share the Candidate’s decision.
